The plot is located in the northern suburbs of Athens. The aim of this project was to create a house for a family of four. A key requirement from the client was the formation of a large outdoor space that would stretch along the entire length of the plot. For this reason, the building was organized around a central atrium, around which all functions are arranged. On the ground floor, there are openings on both sides of the courtyard, which allow the creation of an outdoor space that runs through both the plot and the building, providing the necessary covered areas that emerge from the structure of the building itself.
The central atrium allows for natural and direct lighting and ventilation of all the spaces in the house, while also serving as the connecting element between all the functions and enabling communication between the exterior and interior spaces.
Moreover, the residence is positioned at the highest elevation of the plot to ensure the best possible view. The entrance to the house is accessed gradually via a staircase, offering a smooth transition from the public to the private space.
The steep, pointed roof of the building emphasizes the embrace that shelters the family of four.
